SHAWNEE, Oklahoma - The Seminole State Women's Golf team competed in the OBU Spring Invitational this past week. Despite strong winds on the first day of play, the Trojans were able to put together a decent round of play. "We are playing without one of our main contributors, so not being able to drop a score hurt us the most today," said Head Coach Nathan Jahn. "I thought the girls handled themselves well on the course and didn't let the conditions bring their game down too much." The team carded an opening round of 406.

"I was a little disappointed in our second round this week. The conditions were better today, but our score got worse." The women has a rough day shooting a team total of 416 on the second day. Leading the way for the Trojans was Danielle Rhodes carding a 185 and finishing 4th overall. Kandis King shot a 205 putting her in 13th; Dannah Whelan carded a 209 finishing 17th; and Kalancey Wood shot a 223 and placed 20th. SSC will play again April 18th-19th in El Reno at the Region II tournament. The winning team and the other top five scorers in the Region will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida for the NJCAA National Tournament.
