EL RENO, Oklahoma - The Seminole State College Trojan Women's golf team competed at the Region II tournament this past week.  The girls played well the first day carding a team total of 354, their best round of the year.  "The girls played great today and limited their mistakes," said Head Coach Nathan Jahn.

After the first round all four Trojan golfers competing were in line to qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament.  The girls came back on the second day and played just as strong as the first.  They carded a 351 and all four SSC golfers qualified for nationals. "Getting four girls into the tournament is huge," said Coach Jahn "This gives us a chance to compete as a team instead of just individuals."

Leading the team was Danielle Rhodes shooting a 78, 83 for her best two-day total of the year.  Kandis King also played her best round of the year carding an 81, 84.  Both Rhodes and King qualified for the National Tournament and will be joined by Shelby Martin and Kalancey Wood. The Trojan women's team will compete in Daytona Beach, FL on May 16-19.
