SEMINOLE, Oklahoma - The SSC Belles brought home two more wins over the weekend and added another one last night, bringing their record to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
In Tuesday night's game against Northern Oklahoma College of Tonkawa the Belles had five players score in double figures to give them the 18 point win. They were led in scoring by Tulsa Edison sophomore JaQuitta Dever who had 22 points, shooting 4 of 7 in three-point range.
The Belles went 31 of 61 from the field, (51 percent) and attempted 22 3-point shots, making 8. They also shot 27 free throws, making 20 (74 percent).
SSC extended their lead by 20 points less than two minutes into the second half before the Belles lost their control of the game and the Mavericks went on a hot streak bringing the lead down to 6 points. But Seminole bounced back to end the game 90 - 71.
The Belles are playing pretty well right now as they head to Lamar, Colorado on Friday for the Lamar Classic where they will play Lamar on Friday evening and Otero College on Saturday. After the Classic they won't see court action again until 2012 when they meet Western Oklahoma College on January 9 in Altus.
