WARNER, Oklahoma - The SSC Belles traveled to Warner, Oklahoma on Thursday evening to face off with the Connors State College Cowgirls and fell short, 82-76. The loss gives the Belles an overall record of 9-3.

The Belles started out the game with intensity, jumping out to a 7-0 lead. At the half, they were leading 36-33, but Connors made a run of their on in the second half. The Belles did not value the ball, giving up twenty-two turnovers. "We have some adjustments to make, but we have to finish a game the way we start the game, with the same intensity for 40 minutes," said head coach Rita Story-Schell.

Connors stepped up to the free throw line with confidence shooting 90% at the making 18 of 20 on the night. The Belles shot 14 of 20 which could have been a difference maker for the game.

The Belles were led in scoring by Brittany Harris with 25 points and Oulaymatou Coulibaly added 10.

The Belles and Trojans are on the road once again when they play Murray State College in Tishomingo on Monday, January 16 at 6 and 8 pm.
