Two members of the 2009 Trojan baseball team and one player from the 2008 team were recently drafted by Major League ball clubs. Two of the players chosen, Dallas Beeler and Terrance Jackson, were major contributors on Head Coach Jeff Shafer's 2009 squad that advanced to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Dallas Beeler from Jenks, Oklahoma, who just completed his sophomore season at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, was drafted in 41st round by the Chicago Cubs. Beeler, a right-handed pitcher, was 2-0 with a 3.43 ERA in 10 appearances for the Titans this season. ORU won their 13th straight Summit League title and had an NCAA Regional appearance in 2010. Terrance Jackson from Greenville, Alabama was drafted by the New York Mets in the 48th round. Jackson was drafted as a left-handed pitcher and went 6-2 this season in 54 innings for Oklahoma City University. He was also the Stars' everyday center fielder that hit .338 and had 10 home runs. OCU qualified for the NAIA World Series this spring.
Also drafted was William Kankel who played for Seminole State in 2007 and 2008. Kankel, a left-handed pitcher who just completed his collegiate career with the University of Houston, was drafted in the 33rd round by the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brenham, Texas native made 10 starts for UH and was a regular in their weekend pitching rotation.
