During a third round in the appeal process of the NJCAA Region II ruling prohibiting the participation of Seminole State College in the May 10-13 Region II Tournament, the penalty for the violation has been altered. The SSC Trojans will be allowed to compete. The Head Coach will not be allowed to participate in the Regional tournament.

Each member college of Region II was allowed one vote after reviewing the evidence regarding a violation of a statistics reporting rule. The schools voted to overturn the ruling.

SSC President Dr. Jim Utterback said, "I appreciate our colleagues voting with Seminole State College and Northern Oklahoma College to properly restore the hopes and dreams of the student-athletes who were being inappropriately punished for a clerical oversight of the coaching staff."
