The fall 2013 Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings were recently released Thursday, November 7th, 2013.  The Seminole State Men's team received their highest team national ranking since the 2010-2011 season, gaining a ranking of #3 in the nation in NJCAA. Only the 2013 Champion Tyler Jr. College and ASA College from New York were ranked higher, with TJC being ranked #1 and ASA #2.


Singles and doubles rankings were also released for this fall, with the Trojan men being well represented in the individual rankings as well. Freshman Vasil Surduk of Russia had a great fall campaign and was ranked #2 in the nation. Sophomore Tendai Tapfuma was just one spot behind, ranked #3 in singles. Surduk is the highest ranked individual since Mbonisi Ndimande was ranked #1 in NJCAA during the fall of 2010. Others ranked in singles also were Sophomore Tyler Bridges at #25 and Drew Forsyth at #49.


In doubles, all three Seminole teams were ranked inside the top 30 in the nation. The highest was Vasil Surduk/Tendai Tapfuma at #6, Tyler Bridges/Alex Brown at #26, and Mitch Vechione/Alex Clerihew at #30.


The Trojan men will enter the spring semester as the #3 ranked team in Jr. College men's tennis. They will open the season on Saturday, February 1st, 2014 at 6:00 pm vs. Southwestern Christian University. The match will be played indoors at Willow Creek Indoor Tennis Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
