Four Seminole State College baseball players were recently selected during the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft and two players were honored as NJCAA All-American athletes.

Jonathan LaCroix of Montreal, Canada was selected for All-American First Team and Dalton Reed of Roff made All-American Second Team. Along with All-American honors, LaCroix was also chosen during the 12th round of this year's MLB draft by the Houston Astros.

    

Also selected during the draft were two former SSC players – Daniel Procopio of Toronto, Canada during the 10th round by the Los Angeles Angels and Julio Gonzalez of Bayaman, Puerto Rico in the 17th round by the Kansas City Royals. Current Trojan Gunner Halter of Texarkana, Ark. was chosen in the 22nd round by the Toronto Blue Jays.
