Coach Gillespie begins her third season at the helm of the Seminole State College Volleyball Program. "I am very excited for what the 2009 season could hold for our team," said Gillespie. "We have a solid group of all-around volleyball players. That, put together with our team leadership, fight, and athleticism leads me to believe we have a great chance to do big things this year!"

Gillespie took over the program in July of 2007 and has been working to establish a winning tradition since. During her first year at SSC, she lead the Trojans to a 15-23 finish. In her second season, the Trojans finished 18-22 despite an injury plagued year.

Gillespie is currently working toward her masters degree in Health and Human Performance. She is a 2005 graduage of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York where she earned a bachelor's degree in creative advertising. At Marist, Gillespie was selected team captain her senior season and was a two year starter. She was recipient of the "Coach's Award" for displaying determination, leadership, and hard work. She was also a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic team for two years and was selected to receive the Marist Toughness Award.

Gillespie spent her first two years of college at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. During her time at NEO, she was a two year starter and helped lead the Lady Norse to a 9th place finish in the NJCAA National Tournament.

Gillespie is a native of Lebo, Kansas. She is a 2001 graduate of Lebo High School where she was selected as All-State Volleyball and Basketball. She was a starter on the 2001 Class 1A undefeated State Championship basketball team and still holds the school record for rebounding.
