SEMINOLE, Oklahoma - Despite entering Monday night's game with a home court advantage, the Seminole State Trojans fell 78-73 to Western Oklahoma State College in the first round of the NJCAA Region II Basketball Tournament. Darrius Bryson and Reed Johnson each had an attempt at a three pointer in the closing seconds of the game to tie it up but both missed. "This is a tough loss, but a fitting end to our season," said Head Coach Thomas Mills. The Trojans had struggled all season at putting together a full 40 minutes of basketball and finishing a game strong.

Freshman Brandon Caporale gave his best effort as he paced the Trojan offense with 31 points. Darrius Bryson followed with 14 and JoVaughn Love was just behind him with 12, followed by Jesse Brewer 6, Kendall Parks and Kyle Hart each added 4 and Chase Mongold with 2. The Trojans end their season at 9-20.

SEMINOLE, Oklahoma - The Seminole State Trojans grabbed a win last night against Redlands Community College of El Reno. SSC contained the lead throughout most of the game and were able to hang on at the end for the 85-83 victory. The win brings the Trojans overall record to 8-19 and 6-11 in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Trojans were able to force Redlands to turn the ball over 23 times, but allowed the RCC to shoot 60% from the field.   Seminole's ability to cause some miscues for the Cougars put Seminole in a position to win the game. Seminole struggled from the free throw line (13 of 26) but made up for it by firing 10 for 25 from the 3 point line. The Trojans have been on the losing side of several close games as of late but they found a way to pull out the win heading into their last regular season conference game of the season against NEO. Darius Bryson led the Trojans with 19 points and Kyle Hart added 15 points, hitting five of nine at the three-point line.
